Odyssey Interactive, the UK's leading provider of Intranet solutions, has been selected to join the National Housing Federation's IT Affinity Partnership scheme, to help its 1,400 housing associations and social landlords to improve working practice through the use of a company intranet.

The partnership will ensure members get a reduced price for Odyssey's Interact Housing Edition, an intranet solution designed specifically to meet the needs of housing associations, by improving efficiency, eliminating ineffective business practices and saving 1000s of man hours and valuable resources.

Odyssey has considerable experience in the social housing sector, and already works with over 20 housing association clients, including Gallions Housing Association, which manages over 5000 homes in South-East London and now saves over 360 man hours and £12,000 each month thanks to Interact, which has reduced administration and processing costs, delivered key organisational information to staff and increased overall business efficiency.

George Grant, Head of Alliances at the Federation, said: "The NHF believes there is great value in helping its members maximise the use of technology to meet their objectives in social housing. Interact allows our members to communicate more effectively, and allows staff to dedicate more of their time to their core business. As the leading intranet supplier in the market and with extensive experience of working with housing associations, Odyssey Interactive was our partner of choice for the programme.

"Odyssey clearly understand the challenges our members need to overcome, and there is considerable evidence that their software is versatile and flexible enough to meet the variety of needs that our members have"

Interact Housing Edition delivers measurable benefits to social housing providers, providing an easily accessible central database, which contains all company information from health and safety documents to contact details and an illustrated catalogue of housing stock, ensuring a paperlight environment and reducing administrative and HR burden.

The solution not only streamlines the administration, it also effectively enforces compliance issues and can be used to improve communication across the organisation, with features such as the SMS module enabling staff to communicate key messages quickly and easily to field-based staff.
