30th November, 2009 – Axios Systems, the world’s leading provider of IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions, including the assyst software, today announces the success of another global webcast with over 1000 registrations.

The webcast, part of a series hosted by Axios with guest speak Sharon Taylor, Chief Architect of ITIL V3, discussed the current hot topic - Service Catalog. During the webcast, which is now available on Demand, Sharon gave practical advice on setting up a Service Catalog and talked about the associated challenges and benefits.

The high volume of participants and the response rate to the live Q&A session that followed the webcast was a great success and emphasizes the importance of the topic in the industry and the eagerness to gain a better understanding of how and where to begin with this type of project.

Ailsa Symeonides, Sales & Marketing Director at Axios Systems, says, “We are very pleased with the volume of attendees and the excellent feedback we received during and following the webcast. Organizations are realizing that successful ITSM lies with the Service Catalog and they are looking to the industry for help.”

Sharon Taylor, ITIL V3 Chief Architect and Chief Examiner, says, “The quality of a Service Catalog can make or break an IT Service Provider’s credibility to the business. The power of what differentiates you from your competitors can lie in the simplicity, accuracy and representation of your services within your Service Catalog.”

During the webcast, Axios carried out a short survey on Service Catalogs in practice and will shortly be revealing the results. The webcast is now available on Demand at this link: http://www.axiossystems.com/six/en/products/seminar/20091105.php.

Future webcast sessions will be scheduled on: Proving Demonstrable ROI from Service Catalog Deployments, Implementation Best Practices and Service Catalog in the Cloud. Further information on these coming webcasts will be posted on the Axios Systems website.
Axios has recently launched its assyst Service Catalog, which can be fully integrated with the assyst ITSM toolset. The launch comes in response to an increasing interest in Service Portfolio Management.
