The transceiver employs the latest technologies very-large scale integrated (VLSI) circuitry, digital multiplexer and optical transmission technology. The cost-effective and easily upgradeable transceiver will meet customer needs for high-speed data transmission and TDM integrated access. The optical transceiver series is compliant with telecommunication level operation and has a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of over 100,000 hours.
This optical transceiver features a loop back function from the far end to the local end, electromagnetic radiation protection, large transmission capacity and a digital service telephone. The transceiver is also a fiber optic multiplexer or FOM, and can transmit 4E1/8E1/16E1 over long distances without the need for repeaters. These transceivers have a built-in power supply switch to provide over-voltage and over-current protection. They support both dual and single filament bidirectional fiber types. The transceivers have a single board structure and a wide transmission distance of 2 to 120km.
