Sitecore Expands UK Management Team

London, UK, 16th February, 2009 - Sitecore, a leading provider of .NET Web Content Management Systems (CMS) and portal software, today announced the continued strengthening of its UK management team with four new appointments.

Saradha (Shawn) Cabral has been named director of marketing while Amar Patel and Mark Rice join as business development managers. The other new arrival is senior sales executive Stephen Williams. The additions to the Sitecore UK team will enhance the company’s drive to advance its branding strategy and support the phenomenal growth achieved by the business in 2008.

Saradha Cabral, joins Sitecore from the London-based digital marketing agency JPMH. In his role as account director he worked on integrated digital campaigns for the blue chip client BlackBerry (Research in Motion). He had a key part in devising and implementing the highly successful BlackBerry Owners Lounge programme which grew to become BlackBerry brand’s key customer retention strategy. Saradha spent the early part of his marketing career in Sri Lanka at the local offices of global companies such as Leo Burnett Advertising and Reckitt Benckiser.

Joining from global PR and marketing group Metia is Amar Patel. As an account manager at Metia’s software team, Amar worked with enterprise clients, such as Sungard and Microsoft UK, developing and project managing the growth of their digital properties. Amar has an MBA and has dealt with online technology solutions for most of his career. At Sitecore he will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, supporting Sitecore’s partner sales and pre-sales, and managing tender opportunities.

Another newcomer, Mark Rice, takes on a similar role. Immediately prior to Sitecore, Mark was sales manager with the specialit e-commerce & shopping cart software company Actinic. Having worked with some of Actinic’s largerest customers such as Pipex and Netbenefit as well as an array of UK Plcs across many industries Mark moves to Sitecore with a wealth of experience in sales, product development and project management.

Stephen Williams comes to Sitecore with extensive CMS industry experience having previously worked at Obtree and most recently RedDot UK (where as the first UK saleman on the ground he was responsible for new business sales and channel creation). Stephen’s role grew over his 7 years at RedDot to also include account management of secured customers. Stephen’s role at Sitecore is to drive new business and channel sales.
