Managed hosting specialist eLINIA has designed a bespoke and scalable internet platform for the global car manufacturer Honda UK.

The flexibility of the eLINIA platform will maximise the number of potential buyers able to visit the Honda website following the launch of the latest model of the Honda Jazz, one of the UK’s most popular small cars.

James Carnie, technical architect at eLINIA, commented: “As a world-leader in the very competitive car market, it is essential that Honda can support the level of traffic it attracts during high-profile campaigns. Working to an extremely tight timescale, we’ve created a solution that caters for the fact that downtime is not an option.”

Paul Kidd Dealer Systems Support Manager at Honda said: “There are high expectations for the new website and we have already seen uplift in dwell time, page visits and home page conversions”

“We have invested extensively over time in our web-advertising,” continued Paul “so it is critical that our internet presence is accessible to our customers at all times. eLINIA’s solution guarantees the availability of our website which is essential in ensuring the success of the Honda Jazz.”

The eLINIA platform has a virtualised web front end, enabling it to be either scaled up or down on demand, according to the requirements. Additionally, eLINIA has tailored a robust disaster recovery solution, which automatically routes traffic to a secondary data centre in the instance of any issues at the primary site.

Honda is yet another high profile brand to select eLINIA’s managed service. eLINIA works for some of the world’s most security conscious organisations, including government organisations and financial sector businesses. All of eLINIA’s engineers and technicians are accredited at the highest security levels, including ISO9001, ISO27001.
