Conjungo has arrived!

UK-based Google alternative makes finding the right technology easier

A specialist technology information resource and search engine has been unveiled today that brings businesses and technology suppliers together at the click of a mouse.

Independent search engine Conjungo helps customers find the right technologies for their business needs – whether they are looking for business software, security, networking, hosting, audio/visual, telecoms or VoIP. The search is quick and easy, and based on such search requirements as specialist skills, geography or market segment.

In the past, finding information on a particular technology or supplier has meant that the customer has had to use a generic search engine, often wading through pages of unrelated information to find what they are looking for. With Conjungo, users have all the information they need at their fingertips.

“Traditional search engines are great for researching a topic area, but not so good at narrowing down the search for suppliers experienced in the right size/type of business, or ones based in the right location,” says David Cruse, CEO, Conjungo. “Google is completely prohibitive in terms of user experience. It’s not a level playing field for suppliers by the nature of its commercial model, so ‘fair’ goes out the window because choice does not exist – until now that is.

“Accessing a range of appropriate suppliers should take seconds, not days. Conjungo enables buyers to get supplier information – fast,” adds Cruse.

Conjungo removes the risk from choosing a supplier, as all of its listed resellers are accredited by their vendors, so the user has complete peace of mind that whoever they choose will be experts in their field, and possess a reputation for excellent service.

BT, Symantec, Websense, Citrix, Adobe, Gamma Telecom, TeleWare, Steljes, Hostway, SMC Networks and Cisco are among the high profile vendors to have listed their entire base of channel partners (resellers) to help customers find the right supplier.

In addition, Conjungo offers ‘Go Understand’, a wealth of information to help the customer understand the various technologies for their business needs, then seamlessly access the suppliers needed to provide it. This includes a series of useful guides, explaining how the different technologies work in plain English.

“Conjungo have created a much needed ‘tool’ that assists technology buyers to identify the product supplier that best suits their needs. Conjungo facilitates an effective search by locality, along with a comprehensive and ‘relevant’ selection of resellers based on industry expertise and appropriate ‘size’,” says Rachel Marchant, Channel Marketing Manager, Websense UK.

Cruse concludes, “Conjungo’s easy to understand, ‘plain English’ knowledge sites about today’s technology help the non-technical business owner actually ‘understand it’, and then Conjungo helps connect the informed buyer with a reseller.”
