Honesty, wisdom and insight will come in bounds when three powerful and hugely influential men get together to deliver one of the hardest-hitting and controversial debates on threats to national security and methods that can be deployed to reduce vulnerabilities to business. They include Patrick Mercer – Former Shadow Minister for Homeland Security, Richard Kemp – Director of Security, LifeSafety and Business Continuity – Canary Wharf Group and Bruce Mann – Director of Civil Contingency at the Cabinet Office who will provide the opening panel discussion at the beginning of the UK’s national two day Business Continuity Conference from 28-29th March at London’s Excel.

Possibly one of the most important and high level roles for security in the UK is currently held by Richard Kemp – Director of Security, LifeSafety and Business Continuity at Canary Wharf. In charge of one of the most symbolic and financially powerful centres in the world it is his job to abate any terrorist attack and keep the Wharf safe and secure at all times – he provides the opening address at 9am on Wednesday 28th providing a candid insight into the threats that face national security and how we can identify and reduce the risks and vulnerabilities in light of an ever threatened society.
Richard Kemp’s address will lead into a lively and much-talked about debate on national security, resilience and mitigating risk to business when he debates alongside Bruce Mann and Patrick Mercer in a session facilitated by Martin Caddick BCM Practice Leader at Marsh who will be taking questions from the floor.
The conference is to be one of the most high-level events of its kind in the UK and runs for just two days from 28-29 March where 80 of the countries most influential and prominent business continuity experts have been hand-picked to deliver an exciting and hard-hitting programme on everything from organisational survival, civil contingency, national resilience, terrorism, to stakeholders and people, risk management, business continuity practice, brand survival, media handling in a crisis and a look at emerging threats and risks.
